Dr. Priya Priyadarsini is known for her expertise in the management of malignancies. She treats patients with all cancer types given her extensive experience in oncology. She joined as Oncologist at Institute of Medical Science and SUM Hospital under SOA (Deemed to be university). in 2019. In her role, Dr Priya has an aim to create awareness on precaution to avoid breast cancer among women..

Dr Priya has done her MBBS and post graduation in Internal medicine from VMMC &Safdarjung Hospital ,one of the renowned and busiest hospital of India. Her super-specialisation is in medical oncology from Medanta ,The Medicity .
Dr Priya specializes in solid tumours & hematological malignancies that includes breast cancer , gynaecological malignancies ,head and neck malignancies, lung malignancies ,gastrointestinal malignancies , sarcoma ,acute and chronic leukemias and lymphomas. She has done more than 100 bone marrow transplants ( both allogenic and auto transplant ) under the guidance of renowned hematologists of Medanta.

Dr Priya has worked in Medanta ,the Medicity as consultant in Medical oncology and Hematology department (2017 -2018). Then she got associated with SOA university as Associate professor in IMS and SUM Hospital and presently working in SUM ULTIMATE MEDICARE as consultant and Head of Medical oncology department.
Dr Priya has many publications to her credit. She has taken keen interest in cancer awareness programmes through TV programes as OTV, NEWS 7, Nandighosh TV, kanak news etc and as news articles in various regional news papers, Indian Express and Times of India. She has been conferred CORPORATE ICON AWARD 2022 in MY CITY LINKS award ceremony. Dr Priya has been selected for WORLD WOMAN LEADERSHIP CONGRESS AWARD HELD ON 29TH APRIL 2022. She is the Principal Investigator to many trials involving prostate, breast cancer and kidney cancer .

According to her, women over 40 are more susceptible to breast cancer. Irregular periods, pregnancy after 30, use of oral contraceptive pills, consumption of liquor and cigarettes may be risk factors of the disease, she says.
She also says that women should not feel shy and do self-breast examination, and clinical breast examination such as mammography in time. Women after 40 should undergo mammography once in a year, she recommended.
Identification of the disease in time and proper treatment is crucial, according to Dr Priya.

Dr Priya is actively involved in research efforts focusing on improved therapies for various cancers.
